In 2010, MONEY magazine named Eden Prairie the #1 Best Place to Live in America, and it has since then occupied the top three spots on MONEY’s list. Eden Prairie is located in the Southwest Metro not far from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul. With a population of just over 60,000 residents, Eden Prairie balances the feel of a small town with big city amenities. MONEY magazine has recognized Eden Prairie as a great place to work and raise a family.

A little history of Eden Prairie….the name was given as a ‘garden spot’ in the mid 1800’s with the newly developed Minnesota territory. Eden Prairie was established in 1858, but it wasn’t until until the mid-1900s with the help of Flying Cloud Airport and Highway 494 that put the City on the map.

The City of Eden Prairie is a very welcoming community with wonderful residential neighborhoods and a thriving business economy.

Our community is very diverse and embraces each other with open arms. The term ‘Minnesota Nice’ could not apply to a better city. Neighbors helping neighbors, a community that lends its hands to those in need, and the overall feel of a serene life that embody the City of Eden Prairie.
