Tracy Otoka Cushman

I fell in love with Eden Prairie when I moved to Minnesota in 1994. There was something about the city and its energy that drew me here. In 1998 Eden Prairie became home, and I’ve been here ever since. Not only do I live here, but I have always run my real estate company exclusively in Eden Prairie, while raising my family in the community that I love.

I started in real estate as the General Manager of Century 21, of all days, 9/11/01. It was as if I met my destiny, with my love of community and my passion for homes. I learned the very basics, as well as the foundations of real estate, while I shadowed the broker/owner of the company. My job description was very diverse (with providing support to Realtors and the office team, along with the high end details of reporting to the broker/owner and corporate Century 21). After 2 years of experience, Cushman Realty, Inc. was established on 6/25/03. I ran the company, as we opened an appraisal and mortgage company as well. I learned many new facets about the real estate industry with the growth of all 3 companies. It gave me the the unique skillset and tools that I still use today to educate my clients along their real estate journey.

In March of 2008, with the start of the Great Recession, I became a licensed real estate agent, and eventually received my brokers license in 2010. The appraisal and mortgage companies were closed, as the result of Great Recession. Facing an uncertain future, I took over the reigns of Cushman Realty in 2010.

Our motto has always been “Where Real Estate Meets Your Needs”, and I tailor that to each and every client that I represent. I also believe that priority number one is educating the client. This allows for knowledge and growth with the client each step of the way, helping create a smooth transaction, regardless of any hiccups that may occur with their specific sale or purchase of a home or investment property.

As a small business owner of a boutique real estate company, the majority of my clients are referrals. I make sure that client expectations are met, as I discuss that very early on in the relationship with each client. In doing so, I want to leave my clients with a thoroughly enjoyable experience, while giving them the details and education they need in the sale or purchase of their greatest investment.

I am beyond proud to say that I have navigated many different markets with my 20+ years of real estate experience, and have learned to pivot with each market. That has given me the solid foundation with which I am able to guide my clients, no matter the current market cycle we are going through.

I feel so blessed to do what I love each and every day, while being able to help guide my clients through a successful transaction. I continue to look forward to meeting people who are part of or want to be part of Eden Prairie, and share the love of community and reason why we love to call Eden Prairie home.
